Jumping into Light speed in SWG

Star Wars Galaxies, SWG is an online fantasy game, based on MMORPG. It can run on MS Windows platform.  Sony Online Entertainment developed SWG, and published by Lucas Arts. The game, An Empire Divided belonging to Star Wars Galaxies was released in USA on 26 June 2003 and in Europe on 7 November 2003. The online users for An Empire Divided became 400,000 since the start. On 23 December 2003, Electronic Arts Japan released a customized version for the local market in Japan. However, the attraction of Japanese towards the game appeared low. On 23 December 2004, servers became closed, and the existing accounts shifted to US servers.

Expansion of SWG

Introducing in different outlets and releasing the games, SWG universe was formed. SWG is an exciting and adventurous game and it is on 365 days a year. In this game, players can fight or avoid fighting against the opponents while they are moving across the galaxy. Besides, players can motivate the fighters to fight tough.


Jumping into Light speed in SWG

The first expansion program, ‘Jump to Lightspeed’ appeared in the market on 27 October 2004.   Adding two new races, Sullustan and Ithorian, along with a space combat, users can find three factions from new Pilot sub-profession including Rebel, Imperial or Freelance. 

Recent downturn

Twelve servers were closed on October 2009. During 2010, the curve has shown the steady decline; as a result, forums of SWG game players have lodged the petition to merge with active servers further.
