Final Fantasy XI online game being set up on the world of Vana’diel is on the highest demand in Japan. Its subscription is also getting skyrocketing day by day. It was developed by Square PDD and published by many publishers at different times like by Sony’s Play Station2 in May, 2002, by Microsoft’s Windows PC in November, 2002 and by Square in April, 2003.

There are few basic differences between Final Fantasy XI and its previous series. Earlier players could create only predefined characters but now they can customize their characters in FFXI though in limited ways but including gender, race, body size, hair color, allegiance as well as job etc. Now all the battles become real time and you can’t encounter enemies randomly like before.

Final Fantasy XI supports 32 different servers and each server supports up to 20,000 players. The developers have given name these servers as per the summoned monsters from the previous Final Fantasy series such as Diabolos and Ifrit. You can move from one server to other by paying with GIL. In FFXI there is no server specifically made for a particular language or region. This game is slightly different from other MMORPG games in the field of game play as it supports playing of different language play in the same world by its players and helps them in interacting with the help of existing in-game automatic language translation system.

You have all options opened in front of you as you can play FFXI with keyboard, controller or mouse. Developer has given an alternative option to all those players who doesn’t have keyboard but use Sony’s Play Station 2 as well as Xbox 360.

The basic play is quite same with other MMORPG like character creating, defeating monsters, earning points and revving up level. By defeating monster named Beastmen you can earn in-game money which is known as GIL. But there is a small difference between this FFXI and its previous series and that is Beastmen leaves less coins while gets defeated. Also you can’t attack any other players like in other MMORPG but have some other additional ways to compete with your enemies.

Here is one concept of creating party in FFXI. To defeat powerful monsters you need to band into parties. There is allowance for six members in a regular party. If you can manage a well built team then only you can defeat nay monsters coming on your way whether power they have.
