Everquest 2 or EQ2 was built from everquest 2. Character customization is vast in EQ2 players will have a choice from over 25 characters with multiple classes. Factions are divided into good, neutral and evil. Races can alter factions thanks to a level 10 quest. Therefore if you are bored with playing good you can look forward to be a warrior of evil without having to restart. The starter areas are situated close to cities for safety. I was able to move away from the safety of my faction at around level 20. Therefore the game only allows you out into the world at a relatively high level.

The world in EQ2 is large and full of monsters for players to kill and level on. However the charm in this system is that opposing faction players are also freely wandering the world therefore the thrill of fighting other players at every turn is a unique experience. Group questing is fun and enjoyable. I found a lot of nice people with a common goal looking for an epic moment while fighting evil hordes.

The graphics are a marvel. The cities are vast and the sound score is grand. The sounds make players truly feel the plight of their faction. Weapons and armor are crafted to suit the three factions. Therefore during large battles it is clearly visible who is evil and righteous. My guild was friendly and played strictly for PvP. Thanks to them I was able to obtain many items and armor. Most of the hideouts for guilds and players are located within the city.

EQ2 lives up to its predecessor and delivers a beautifully set fantasy MMORPG which has been popular among the gaming community for over a decade. Current players will be happy to know that many new expansions are being released with more content and game time. I recommend this game to any fantasy RPG fan. EQ2 is a classic battle between good and evil which every player dreams of taking part in.
